- Ultrasound of the heart
- Rest ECG
- LZ ECG
- LZ blood pressure
- ABI measurement
- Pulse wave velocity analysis
2. Appointment | approx. 1.0 – 1.5 h:
- Stress echocardiography (in case of poor sound quality, alternative stress ECG is planned)

What equipment is used for examinations?
Ultrasound
We examine you with the latest technology. Phillips Affiniti CVx STd is available for your ultrasound examination.
Stress ECG:
For the stress ECG, Ergoline’s Ergoselect-12 and the PhillipsA ultrasound device have integrated blood pressure measurement. It is approved for a patient weight of up to 200 kg. ЕК ECG recording is done by a continuous 12-lead lead and during the load ultrasound recording is done.
Circulatory disorders on the heart can be detected at an early stage by wall movement disorders.
Body Fat Analysis (BIA Measurement)
The measurement takes place with the high-precision scale Seca mBCA 555, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and approved for patients up to 300 kg. The scale provides the measurement result within a few seconds. Fat and fat-free mass, total body water, extracellular water, intracellular water and skeletal muscle mass are analyzed.
ABI Measurement (PAD Screening)
For the measurement of the ankle-arm index Ankle Brachial Index, ABI) we use the innovative complete solution from Boso, the Boso ABI System 100. In addition, the device measures pulse wave speed (PWV), which allows statements about vascular stiffness and is thus considered a further indication of the presence of atherosclerosis or prognostic markers for atherosclerosis development
What should you pay attention to before the appointment?
- Please put on sportswear at the 2nd appointment (you might sweat with the exercise ECG) and bring a towel to dry yourself after if necessary.
- Please appear sober for the check-up
When is a repetition of the check-up necessary?
In general, we recommend performing the cardio check-up once a year. This way you can keep an eye on the health of your heart. If disease processes are detected at an early stage, they can often be treated well or even be cured.
Are the costs covered by my health insurance?
The cardio check-up is billed according to the applicable scale of fees for physicians (GOÄ). You will receive a medical service invoice by mail. Unfortunately, cash payments are not possible.
Private health insurance usually covers the entire cost of the examination. If you are unsure about the assumption of costs, please clarify this in advance with your health insurance company.
The public health insurance offer separate every three preventive medical check-ups in a very reduced form (See Check-up 35).
