How does it work and what examinations are included?
Two appointments are required for the BASIS check-up due to the scope:
1. Appointment | approx. 30 minutes:
- Blood sampling (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, fasting plasma glucose)
- Urine examination is only carried out from the age of 35: protein, glucose, erythrocytes, leukocytes and nitrite (urinalysis test)
2. Appointment | approx. 10 minutes:
- Medical anamnesis interview
- Physical exam
- Vaccination advice and checking the vaccination card
- Concluding discussion
When is a repetition of the check-up necessary?
The statutory health insurance covers the Check-Up 35 from the age of 35 every 3 years.
Are the costs covered by my health insurance?
GU 35*: Is a health examination which is subsidized by the statutory health insurance companies. Of course, additional services can also be booked as individual health services. However, these are not covered by statutory health insurance.
Are you younger than 35? Statutory health insurance pays a one-off check-up 35 between the ages of 18-34.
